About Backyard Bikes and me

Hi I'm Chris, I've been a keen cyclist for over 30 years now, and worked within the bike trade for over 20 of those years.
I'm here to offer bicycle repairs and servicing from a slightly different set-up to the norm.
I've worked in bikes shops for most of my life, gaining experience from everything cycling related, to becoming a cytech qualified bicycle mechanic. 
That's where the passion lies, bike mechanics. 

As much as I enjoy working in shops with like minded people, I wanted to do something different.
This setup allows me to do what I enjoy doing, the way I want to do it. Also, without the overheads the shops have, it means I can offer professional, qualified work, without the cost the traditional bike shops charge, I'm not knocking bike shops here, I know how hard it is, but I also know not everyone can afford to pay the service charges the current climate demands.

So whether it's a tune up on your basic every day commuting bike, or your favourite road bike steed needs some work before a meet-up, or perhaps the brakes on your mountain bike aren't giving you the confidence you need, give me a call, I'm happy to advise you on anything that may be of concern.
